Insurance Your medical insurance may provide reimbursement for my services as an out of network provider. However, there are numerous advantages to NOT using your insurance, which I am happy to discuss with you when you call to schedule an appointment. Regardless, you can use your Health Savings Account and Flex Spending Account to cover the costs of my services.
If you decide you would like to use your insurance, please contact your insurer and inquire as to:
Whether your policy covers outpatient mental health with a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC); if so,
How much your insurer will reimburse you for each session;
What is the process of obtaining reimbursement (how do you submit a claim);
How many therapeutic minutes your insurer considers to be a session;
The total cost of your out of network deductible and how much of your deductible has been met;
The total number of sessions per calendar year your insurance plan covers;
Whether your insurance requires prior authorization before attending your first session, and, if so, how do you obtain the authorization?
*Please note, all service charges must be paid in full at each session. An invoice/super-bill will be available to you containing the information typically required when submitting out-of-network insurance claims.
